For neck tie shapes in which you want an extra springy feel, the goat hair is resistant to creasing, and holds it's shape extremely well. Also it's a thinner and lighter weight lining, so matches very nicely to thick fabrics or if you want a really light weight tie that doesn't sacrifice shape.
